GDB Summer Bash Wrapup

 

The 2012 GDB Summer Bash was a huge success. This year, the event was held at Sunnyvale Town Center.

 

 

Special Thanks to Randy Rogers for making the reservation happen. The pavilion was perfect and the riding terrain was excellent! Special Thanks to the Ride Leaders.

This year, the Summer Bash had one of the largest turnouts ever!

 

 

Thanks to all 65 riders who came out to support the event. It was refreshing to see new member faces. It was to see long standing members. It was nice to see the anniversary jersey on display during the ride, as well as club jerseys.

 

 

Speaking of jerseys: Carol – aka Sock Lady – was there selling GDB club wear and handing out socks to new members. If you are a new member and you don't have your club socks, you can catch Carol at the upcoming Fall Fiesta.

 

 

Lunch was catered by Freebirds World Burritos. Club members had a choice of a wrap or a salad. Back by popular demand, the dessert contest was well represented by members of the club. The winners of the contest were: James Herod-1st Place, Princess-2nd Place and Anne Weissman-Baron, 3rd Place. All desserts were yummy! Thanks to both the participants and the judges!

 

 

Special Thanks go to Stacy and Ricardo Cardenas, Stuart Rogers and Kathie Lower for help in setting up and tearing down the event. Special Thanks to GDB Board Members who rode early so they could help with setting and tearing down event. Special thanks to Hula Girls Kathie, Keri and Stacy and Cabana Boy Ricardo. Great parties don't happen without great volunteers and attendees!
