Description The "Summer Fast Ride" rider can expect a
friendly and social 60-plus-mile recreational ride -- much
like the "Airport Ride" -- but a little longer and faster. One
should feel comfortable riding close to others as the group, as we
might work in a rotation at tempo. Average speed from
Preston/Forest to the Shell station will be between 18-21
mph. Average speed from the Shell station around the airport to the control
tower and around will be above 21 mph. Please feel free to
join this ride at the start or at the Shell station... Rest
assured, the "regular Airport Ride" is a few minutes back to sweep
anyone who gets dropped. Please introduce yourself if you
are new to this ride.

Starting 6/8/08 we will be starting our Coppell ride from the Northwest corner of Beltline and MacArthur at the Bicycles Plus. We will leave the parking lot at 1:00pm and will return with a computer average of 16-18mph.
This ride will be a distance builder to prepare ourselves for the Hotter 'N' Hell Hundred (HHH). The increase in mileage, and continuing to ride in the afternoon heat, should give us an oppertunity to see how our bodies react to the conditions we will be faced with in August during the HHH. We have noticed that people have been having trouble lately with hydration and electrolyte issues and a big rally like the HHH is NOT the place to try to figure these things out.
The first week will be 40 miles and will increase 3 to 4 miles per week. As normal we will continue to work on our circular pacelines and other technical riding styles for anyone wanting to learn more about riding in groups. We always try to take care of all our riders and we do welcome everyone but if you can't hold a minimum 16mph average on this ride, you may be dropped.

should feel comfortable riding close to others as the group, as we
might work in a rotation at tempo. Average speed from

tower and around will be above 21 mph. Please feel free to
join this ride at the start or at the Shell station... Rest
assured, the "regular Airport Ride" is a few minutes back to sweep
anyone who gets dropped. Please introduce yourself if you
